Room of chapters
The probably most beautiful room in the ancient Baroque Monastery comes up with a precious stucco decoration by Francesco Marazzi (1670 - 1724) and a ceiling fresco by Father Magnus Remy (1674 - 1734).The decorative stone floor made of Solnhofer Tiles and the widely stretched vault resting on two channelled pillars make this room exceptionally festive.
As room of chapters this room was one of the most important functional areas in the former Benedictine Monastery. Here the monks conglomerated for important meetings and before the collective entering into the church.
Today this room is taken by an ample oval table, where 24 people can dine princely. Moreover, the room of chapters is used as a wedding room by the administrative partnership Irsee-Pforzen-Rieden.
